Plant City Man On Probation For Manslaughter Arrested For October Shooting

PLANT CITY, Fla. – Plant City police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a shooting that occurred on October 16th. Barron Marion faces multiple felony charges, including Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Discharge of a Firearm in Public, and Resisting Arrest.

The incident unfolded around 3:50 p.m. on October 16th when Marion was seen outside a convenience store on South Maryland Avenue. After an unidentified man exited the store and drove away, Marion allegedly fired shots at the departing vehicle. Although no one was injured, a nearby home was struck by a stray bullet.

Detectives quickly identified Marion as the suspect. It was also discovered that Marion was on probation for manslaughter, leading to an additional warrant for his arrest.

With the help of the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Pasco County Sheriff’s Office, and Dade City Police Department, law enforcement attempted to apprehend Marion at a Dade City residence.

However, Marion jumped from a second-story window and fled into the woods.

He was later apprehended while attempting to escape in a vehicle driven by his girlfriend, 24-year-old Kyloni Lott. Lott was also arrested on charges including child neglect and fleeing to elude.

Both Marion and Lott are currently in custody at the Pasco County Jail.
