TAMPA, Fla. – Two memorial services will be held to honor the life of University of South Florida men’s basketball coach Amir Abdur-Rahim, who recently passed away.
The first service will be held at Kennesaw State University, where Abdur-Rahim previously coached, on Sunday, October 27th, at 5:00 PM. This service will take place inside the Kennesaw State Convocation Center and is open to the public. Doors open at 4:00 PM. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be streamed live on KSUOwls.com.
A second memorial service will be held in Tampa at the Yuengling Center on the USF campus on Friday, November 2nd, at 11:00 AM. This service is also open to the public. Further details will be shared as they become available.
In lieu of flowers, the Abdur-Rahim family requests that donations be made to the Future Foundation, a non-profit organization close to his heart. They express their gratitude for the support and for honoring his memory.
