Dengue Cases Confirmed In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla.– The Florida Department of Health in Pasco County (DOH-Pasco) is reporting confirmed cases of locally acquired dengue fever.

DOH-Pasco urges residents to take precautions against mosquito bites to protect themselves from dengue and other mosquito-borne illnesses.

State health officials are actively monitoring for various mosquito-borne diseases, including:

  • West Nile virus
  • Eastern equine encephalitis
  • St. Louis encephalitis
  • Malaria
  • Chikungunya
  • Dengue

Residents can assist in these efforts by reporting dead birds to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
