A new poll reveals voters remain split on whether Donald Trump or Kamala Harris is better suited to handle key economic issues, though Harris has gained a slight advantage on middle-class taxes. According to The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, while a majority of voters describe the economy as poor, 46% prefer Harris on middle-class taxes, compared to 35% for Trump.
The poll also shows voters are nearly evenly divided on issues like the cost of housing, groceries, and gas.

Despite the economic focus, Trump still holds an edge on immigration, with 45% of voters favoring his approach, while Harris maintains stronger support on issues like abortion and climate change.
Both candidates face challenges as they head toward the election, with voters expressing overall pessimism about the country’s direction and the economy’s health.
Harris continues to poll more favorably than Trump overall, especially among Black and Hispanic voters, though the race remains tight on specific economic issues.
