Florida gas prices have settled down after a period of fluctuation caused by Hurricane Milton. The state average on Sunday was $3.09 per gallon, marking a slight decrease from the previous week and a significant drop compared to last year.
“Conditions are much improved compared to this time last week, when retailers struggled to keep their gas pumps stocked, due to the spike in demand from Hurricane Milton,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Just one week later, gasoline supplies are much more stable around the state and Floridians do not have to look far to find fuel.”

The recent decline in crude oil and gasoline futures prices has also contributed to the stabilization of gas prices. The price of crude oil dropped significantly last week, closing at $69.22 per barrel on Friday. This downward trend is expected to keep gas prices in check for the near future.
