ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.- St. Petersburg is making it easier for residents to repair their homes after Hurricane Milton. The city is waiving permitting fees and setting up remote permitting sites to streamline the recovery process.
No Fees for Hurricane Repairs
For the next six months, homeowners can get permits for hurricane-related demolition and repairs without paying any application or inspection fees. This initiative, which began after Hurricane Helene, aims to help residents rebuild quickly and affordably.

- Azalea Recreation Center: 1600 72nd St. N
- Enoch D. Davis Center: 1111 18th Ave. S
- Roberts Recreation Center: 1246 50th Ave. N
These sites are open Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., but schedules may change depending on post-storm conditions. For the latest updates on locations and operating hours, visit www.stpete.org/recovery.
