PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County is resuming storm debris collection in unincorporated areas following Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Crews are prioritizing areas with the most debris, including:

  • Feather Sound
  • Crystal Beach
  • Unincorporated Tarpon Springs
  • Baywood Village
  • Unincorporated Gulfport
  • Harbor Bluffs
  • Harbor Hills
  • Eastern Lealman

A second pass will be made through all unincorporated areas at a later date.

Important Notes for Residents:

  • Separate Debris: Storm debris must be separated into three categories: vegetative debris (branches, leaves), construction and demolition debris (doors, drywall, furniture), and household appliances (refrigerators must be empty).
  • Loose Debris: Do not bag debris.
  • Small Debris: Small amounts of vegetative debris can be placed in your regular trash container.
  • Municipalities: Residents of incorporated cities should contact their municipality for debris pickup information.

Debris Drop-off Sites:

Residents can also drop off storm debris at the following locations:

  • 13600 Icot Boulevard in Clearwater
  • Corner of Keystone Road and East Lake Road

Ongoing Efforts:

County crews and contractors are working to clear debris from roads and residential properties. This is a large-scale operation expected to take months to complete. The County estimates over 1 million cubic yards of debris needs to be collected.
