CLEARWATER, Fla. – The City of Clearwater is making it easier for residents and businesses to rebuild after Hurricanes Helene and Milton. The city is waiving building plan review and permit fees for all those impacted by the storms.

To streamline the process, a pop-up permitting site will open at the Clearwater Beach Recreation Center, 69 Bay Esplanade.

This temporary site will allow residents and business owners to meet with Planning and Development Department staff and begin the permitting process. The pop-up site opens Tuesday, October 15th at noon, and will operate weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Residents and contractors can also apply for permits at the Municipal Services Building (100 S. Myrtle Ave.) or online at MyClearwater.com/Permits.

The city reminds residents and business owners to use only licensed contractors for repairs.
