Expanded Disaster Recovery Center Opens Monday In Largo To Aid Hurricane Victims

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County residents impacted by recent hurricanes will have access to expanded support starting Monday, October 14th, with the opening of a new Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in Largo.

The DRC will be located at the Florida Botanical Gardens, Magnolia Room, 12520 Ulmerton Road, and will operate from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Saturday.

This center will serve as a one-stop shop for individuals seeking assistance with disaster recovery. Services offered include:

  • Information and guidance on available programs and resources
  • Application assistance for FEMA grants and Small Business Administration loans
  • Translation and accessibility services
  • Status updates on existing applications
  • Access to disaster-related resources such as housing, legal services, and counseling
  • Computers and phones for completing online applications

In addition to FEMA, several state agencies will be onsite to provide further assistance, including the Florida Department of Veterans Affairs, the Florida Department of Commerce, and others.

Residents are encouraged to bring identification, proof of residence, insurance information, and documentation of losses when visiting the DRC.
