Pedestrian In Wheelchair Fatally Struck On Dale Mabry Highway Overnight In Lutz

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A 39-year-old man in a wheelchair was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Dale Mabry Highway late Saturday night.

The incident occurred around 11:25 PM in the 8100 block of Dale Mabry. A 23-year-old Belleair man driving a Toyota RAV4 was traveling northbound when the pedestrian crossed the highway in his wheelchair, entering the vehicle’s path.

Sadly, the pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene. The driver of the RAV4 was not injured.

The crash remains under investigation. No further details have been released at this time.
