TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – As Hurricane Milton bears down on Florida’s west coast, the Temple Terrace City Utilities Department is assuring residents that water and sewer services will remain operational throughout the storm.

However, with widespread power outages expected, the department is urging residents to conserve water both during and after the hurricane.

“While our water and sewer system is designed to withstand the impact of Hurricane Milton, power outages could affect some of our more remote pump stations,” explained a city official. “To ensure continued service for everyone, we are asking residents to limit their water usage, especially when it comes to flushing toilets.”

Residents experiencing any water or wastewater service issues are encouraged to report them by calling 813-506-6590. Maintenance crews will be dispatched to address outages as soon as wind speeds reach a safe level, anticipated for Thursday morning or early afternoon.
