The impact of the collision caused both vehicles to rotate, with the Sentra hitting a fence and the van striking a utility box and a house.

The driver of the van, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle and tragically died at the scene. The driver of the Sentra sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
