Ohio Man Sentenced To Federal Prison For Bringing Meth To West Virginia

An Ohio man caught transporting a large amount of methamphetamine has been sentenced to nearly six years in federal prison.

Armeek Y. Vaughn, 51, of Zanesville, Ohio, pleaded guilty in February 2024 to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court documents, Vaughn was stopped by the Elkins Police Department while traveling from Ohio to Elkins, West Virginia.

A search of his vehicle revealed 151 grams of crystal methamphetamine, $7,000 in cash, and a drug ledger, indicating he was in the area to sell the illegal substance.  

Vaughn was sentenced to 70 months in federal prison and will be subject to three years of supervised release after completing his sentence.
