Kendall Guyton, 29, of Joliet, Illinois, was sentenced to 27 years in federal prison for sex trafficking multiple women. Guyton recruited and exploited vulnerable women from 2017 to 2020, using violence, drugs, and coercion to force them into commercial sex acts.

Guyton admitted to advertising the victims online and arranging for them to meet individuals in the Chicago area. He provided them with drugs like heroin and cocaine, and frequently resorted to physical abuse to maintain control. Evidence presented in court revealed that Guyton trafficked at least eight victims, including a minor.

His co-defendant, Gregory Ingram, 45, of Richton Park, Illinois, also received a 20-year sentence for his involvement in the trafficking operation. Ingram exploited multiple victims, including a 14-year-old girl whom he manipulated with drugs and threats while she lived in his home.

“Defendant’s crimes were incredibly serious and had long-lasting impacts on his victims,” Assistant U.S. Attorneys Christine M. O’Neill and Prashant Kolluri argued in the government’s sentencing memorandum in Guyton’s case.  “Defendant knew these women were vulnerable and he preyed upon these vulnerabilities.”
