POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk County Sheriff’s Office needs your help locating 19-year-old Latarius Matthews Jr., also known as “PJ,” who resides in Terranova, Winter Haven. He is wanted for armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The charges stem from an incident on Friday, September 20th, at the One Stop gas station on West Pipkin Road in Lakeland.

Matthews arrived in a black Chevy Camaro to meet the victim under the guise of purchasing an iPhone. Instead, he attempted to pay with counterfeit money. After a brief struggle, Matthews pulled out a handgun, threatened to shoot and kill the victim, and then fled the scene in his Camaro.
