TAMPA, Fla. – The northbound and southbound Howard Frankland Bridge lanes (I-275) between Hillsborough County and Pinellas County are now open, with lane restrictions in both directions.
Previous reporting: As of 3:40 PM on September 26, 2024, the Florida Highway Patrol has announced the closure of the Howard Frankland Bridge. This decision is in response to the hazardous combination of high winds and storm surge currently impacting the area.
Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternative routes and avoid unnecessary travel.
