PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Time is running out to evacuate before Hurricane Helene makes landfall. Residents in evacuation Zone A are under a mandatory evacuation order and must leave immediately.
It is not safe to stay in homes along Pasco County’s coastline, which is expected to face extremely dangerous storm surges starting Thursday morning. The county is also bracing for hurricane-force winds and heavy rainfall. Residents in Zones B and C are strongly encouraged to consider evacuating as well.

Please take these evacuation orders seriously. If you cannot stay inland with family, friends, or at a hotel, Pasco County has six pet-friendly shelters available. You can find a nearby shelter at MyPasco.net.
As weather conditions are expected to worsen, residents are urged to stay off the roads and plan to be in a safe location by Thursday morning. Emergency responders may not be able to assist if high winds or flooding make travel hazardous.

Pasco County will close all sandbag sites at 8 a.m. on Thursday (9/26).
Pasco County Government offices will be closed Thursday (9/26) and Friday (9/27), but the Customer Service Center will be available 24/7 at 727-847-2411.
