ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – In preparation for the potential impact of Tropical Storm Helene, St. Petersburg Fire Rescue will initiate special needs evacuations on Wednesday, September 25th, starting at 9:00 a.m.

First responders have already been reaching out to individuals on the special needs registry to assess their evacuation requirements. This registry is designed to support residents who may need assistance with medical needs like oxygen or require transportation during an evacuation.

Residents who have not yet registered and believe they may need evacuation assistance are urged to contact the County Information Center immediately at (727) 464-4333.
