In a targeted strike on Friday night, Israeli Air Force (IAF) jets, guided by the Intelligence Directorate, successfully eliminated Ibrahim Aqil, the head of operations and commander of Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force, along with 15 other high-ranking Hezbollah terrorists.
The strike occurred during a meeting in the Dahieh neighborhood of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold.
Among those killed was Abu Hassan Samir, the former head of the Radwan Force training unit and a key figure in Hezbollah for over a decade. Samir was instrumental in planning the “Conquer the Galilee” operation and had been involved in Hezbollah’s entrenchment in southern Lebanon.

He played a major role in enhancing the organization’s ground combat capabilities and orchestrating multiple attacks on Israeli territory.
The strike also eliminated several regional commanders of the Radwan Force, including:
- Samer Abdul-Halim Halawi, coastal area commander.
- Abbas Sami Maslamani, Qana area commander.
- Abdullah Abbas Hajazi, Ramim ridge area commander.
- Muhammed Ahmad Reda, Al-Khiam area commander.
- Hassan Hussein Madi, Mount Dov area commander.
Additionally, senior figures within the organization were targeted, including:
- Hassan Yussef Abad Alssatar, responsible for Radwan Force operations, overseeing fire operations.
- Hussein Ahmad Dahraj, the force’s Chief of Staff, involved in weapons transfers and organizational support.
These commanders had been central in planning and executing Hezbollah’s attacks on Israel, including the long-devised plan to infiltrate and raid the Galilee. Their elimination marks a significant blow to the Hezbollah terrorist organization.
