Northwestern Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico: A broad low-pressure system is expected to form early next week over the northwestern Caribbean Sea and Central America. This system has a moderate chance of developing into a tropical depression as it moves north or northwest across the Gulf of Mexico. Heavy rain is anticipated over parts of Central America regardless of development.
