NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla. – Gulf Middle School in New Port Richey was under a controlled campus status as the Pasco Sheriff’s Office investigated reports of a student possibly possessing a weapon.
“After a thorough search of the campus, deputies determined that there is no weapon on the premise and there are no immediate threats to the school. Gulf Middle School has resumed normal operations,” said PSO.

Parents and students were advised to remain patient and follow any instructions provided by school officials and law enforcement.
