Sean “Diddy” Combs, the renowned hip-hop mogul, has been indicted on federal charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The indictment, unsealed on Tuesday, alleges that Combs led a criminal enterprise from at least 2008 to the present, abusing and exploiting women to fulfill his sexual desires and protect his reputation.

The indictment paints a disturbing picture of Combs’ alleged actions, including orchestrating elaborate “Freak Offs,” or sex performances, where he allegedly coerced women and male sex workers into participating through violence, intimidation, and the use of drugs.

U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said: “As alleged in the Indictment, for years, Sean Combs used the business empire he controlled to sexually abuse and exploit women, as well as to commit other acts of violence and obstruction of justice.  Today, he is charged with racketeering and sex trafficking offenses.  If you have been a victim of Combs’ alleged abuse – or if you know anything about his alleged crimes – we urge you to come forward.  This investigation is far from over.”

He also allegedly controlled his victims’ careers and threatened to expose embarrassing recordings if they did not comply with his demands.

The indictment further details instances of physical abuse against women, including striking, punching, dragging, and kicking, often resulting in injuries. Combs allegedly used his vast business empire to facilitate these crimes, with employees arranging travel, procuring drugs, and covering up his abusive behavior.

Combs’ attorney maintains his client’s innocence, stating that the allegations stem from a single, consensual relationship that turned sour. However, prosecutors claim to have interviewed over 50 victims and witnesses, suggesting a broader pattern of abuse.

Combs, currently held without bail, pleaded not guilty to the charges. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities urge anyone who may have been a victim of Combs’ alleged crimes to come forward.
