A Dallas man, Durran Allistair Walker, 46, is facing federal drug trafficking charges linked to the deaths of two young women.

An indictment alleges Walker sold pills containing nitazene, a powerful synthetic opioid, to the victims in January 2024, resulting in their fatal overdoses.

These deaths are reportedly the first known nitazene overdoses in the area, highlighting the growing danger of this potent drug.

Following his arrest, authorities seized additional pills during a search of Walker’s residence.

If convicted, Walker faces a maximum penalty of life in federal prison. The case is currently under investigation by The Colony Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Lesley Brooks leading the prosecution.
