PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – Pinellas County Sheriff’s detectives have arrested 22-year-old Dairon Molina on felony Animal Cruelty charges following an investigation into the severe leg injury of an 11-month-old Labrador mix puppy named Rose.
Detectives were alerted after Rose was brought to an emergency vet on August 30th with a broken right rear femur, an injury deemed to have been caused by unjustifiable force. Molina, who was Rose’s sole caretaker at the time, reportedly gave inconsistent statements to detectives about the incident.
