MARION COUNTY, Fla. – After a comprehensive trial last week, 50-year-old Vincent Paul Gaudio and his 18-year-old son, William Trent Gaudio, were found guilty on all charges related to their September 2023 arrests. The charges include Aggravated Battery with Great Bodily Harm and Tampering with a Witness.

“The verdict in this case reaffirms our dedication to securing justice for victims,” said Bill Gladson, Fifth Judicial Circuit State Attorney. “The evidence clearly demonstrated that the victim was brutally attacked by both defendants, and the jury reached a verdict of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.”

The incident occurred on September 4, 2023, at a Circle K on North Williams Street in Dunnellon. The victim reported that while riding his bike home from the store, Vincent and William Gaudio emerged from a wooded area.

William grabbed the bicycle, causing the victim to fall.

Once the victim was on the ground, the defendants proceeded to punch and kick him in the head and chest. When the victim tried to call 911, the defendants smashed his phone, preventing him from seeking help.

The case was successfully prosecuted by Assistant State Attorney Tucker O’Neill.
