The National Hurricane Center will monitor three areas in the Atlantic basin over the next week that could develop into tropical storms.

In the northwestern Gulf of Mexico, a weak low-pressure system near the Texas coast is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. If the system remains offshore, slow development over the next day or two is possible, but heavy rains could lead to flash flooding along the Texas coast.

A tropical wave is causing thunderstorms and gusty winds in the eastern Caribbean Sea, near the Lesser Antilles and Puerto Rico.

Conditions could become more favorable for development as the system moves into the western Caribbean and southwestern Gulf of Mexico later this week, potentially leading to the formation of a tropical depression.

A tropical wave off the coast of Africa is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms in the eastern Atlantic Ocean.

Development is possible in a few days as the disturbance moves west-northwestward or northwestward. This system may bring heavy rain and gusty winds to the Cabo Verde Islands in the coming days.

The National Hurricane Center will continue to monitor these systems and provide updates. Stay tuned for further developments.
