PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – St. Petersburg Police Officer John Antoine was arrested on August 30th at 8 p.m. by the Pinellas Park Police Department.
The arrest stems from an incident on August 28th where Officer Antoine, while in full uniform and armed, engaged in a verbal argument with his domestic partner and the mother of his children outside her Pinellas Park residence.

During the altercation, he made threatening comments towards her.
The incident was reported to the victim’s employer, and due to the location of the incident, the Pinellas Park Police Department took charge of the investigation. Officer Antoine is currently facing one count of aggravated assault.

Following his arrest, Officer Antoine was placed on unpaid administrative leave by the St. Petersburg Police Department and his service weapon(s) were confiscated.
Officer Antoine has been with the St. Petersburg Police Department since October 2nd, 2017.
