A Florida man has claimed a $1 million prize from the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR Scratch-Off game.
James Wise, a 60-year-old resident of Pace, chose to take his winnings as a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.
Wise purchased the winning ticket at a Publix store located at 4739 Highway 90 in Pace. The retailer received a $2,000 bonus commission as a result of the sale.

The $50 Scratch-Off game, $1,000,000 A YEAR FOR LIFE SPECTACULAR, offers two top prizes of $1 million per year for life and 234 prizes of $1 million.
The game also includes over $1.6 billion in cash prizes, with overall odds of winning at 1-in-4.50.
Scratch-off games are a significant part of the Florida Lottery’s offerings, making up approximately 72 percent of ticket sales in the 2022-2023 fiscal year.
