An Ohio woman has been sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for 34 years for the murder of her boyfriend, Darrell (Scott) Donahoe, 44, also of Shumway Hollow.

Shumway Hollow woman, Brooklyn Frazie, 42, was found guilty of aggravated murder and 11 other charges following a week-long jury trial that concluded on August 16, 2024.

The charges stemmed from an incident on September 27, 2023, where Frazier pursued Donahoe in a high-speed chase, ultimately ramming her SUV into his motorcycle and dragging him under her vehicle.

On the evening of September 27, 2023, the Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls reporting a domestic dispute that escalated into a vehicular pursuit. Witnesses described Frazie chasing Donahoe on his motorcycle at high speeds, driving recklessly and violating numerous traffic laws.

The chase ended tragically on U.S. 52 West in New Boston, where Frazie drove into the back of Donahoe’s motorcycle, causing him to fall. She then continued driving, dragging Donahoe for 58 feet before bystanders intervened. Despite immediate medical assistance, Donahoe died from his injuries.

During the trial, numerous eyewitnesses testified to Frazie’s reckless actions and disregard for the safety of others. Evidence, including surveillance footage and expert reconstruction, contradicted Frazie’s claims that Donahoe had crashed in front of her.

Frazie testified in her own defense, denying any intent to harm Donahoe and claiming she was merely trying to get his attention. The jury rejected her claims, finding her guilty on all counts.

Donahoe’s family provided powerful victim impact statements, describing the devastating impact of his loss. Judge Mark Kuhn sentenced Frazie to life in prison, emphasizing the severity of her crimes.
