ORLANDO, Fla. – Byron Louder, 34, of Orlando, has admitted guilt to illegally possessing a firearm, a charge that could lead to a 15-year federal prison sentence. His sentencing is scheduled for November 6, 2024.
Court documents reveal that on December 25, 2022, Orlando Police Department officers witnessed Louder conducting multiple hand-to-hand transactions with a firearm visible in his waistband. Following his arrest, Louder confessed to possessing the firearm and being aware of his ineligibility to do so due to his prior felony convictions.

Louder’s criminal history includes multiple felony charges related to drug possession and intent to sell. These convictions prohibit him from possessing any firearm or ammunition under federal law.
This case is the result of a joint investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Orlando Police Department, with Assistant United States Attorney Stephanie McNeff handling the prosecution.

The case falls under Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a collaborative initiative aimed at reducing violent crime and enhancing community safety.
