PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Brian E. Corley, the Supervisor of Elections for Pasco County, FL, has announced that the polls for the Primary Election on August 20, 2024, will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. for eligible voters.

Florida operates under a closed primary system, as stipulated by Section 101.021 of the Florida Statutes, which means that voters will see candidates on their ballot that match their registered party affiliation. However, nonpartisan positions like judges and school board members will appear on all ballots.

Voters are encouraged to verify their registration status before heading to the polls by visiting PascoVotes.gov. Information about polling locations can be found on voter information cards or by using the precinct finder at PascoVotes.gov/Precincts/Precinct-Finder. Photo ID with a signature is required to vote, and those without proper identification will need to cast a provisional ballot.

It’s important to note that voters cannot change their party affiliation at the polls. The deadline for party changes was July 22, 2024. Those who have moved and not updated their address should check their new polling location at PascoVotes.gov and update their voter registration record at the polls on Election Day.
