POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Polk State Softball has announced a new partnership with The Spring Games (TSG), the largest softball event globally, to host a multi-division fall tournament at Winter Haven DiamondPlex. Scheduled for October 26 and 27, the inaugural “Polk State Fall Softball Showcase” will feature junior college programs and 16U and 18U travel teams.

Polk State Head Coach Kevin Lewis expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting, “Partnering with an organization as prestigious as TSG is an incredible opportunity for us. We’re proud of our college, our facilities, and our climate, and we’re eager to showcase what we offer.”

The event aims to provide a competitive platform for female athletes and facilitate connections among coaches, fans, athletes, and the community. It also seeks to support nonprofits with similar goals of promoting opportunities for women in sports.

The tournament will consist of a two-day situational showcase, with each participating team guaranteed to play at least four games. The winners of each bracket will compete against a junior college team for the championship title.

The entry fee is set at $950 per team, with Polk State and TSG aiming to attract 18 teams. Those interested in participating are encouraged to reach out to Coach Lewis at kllewis@polk.edu for registration or more information.
