Ohio Senator JD Vance, the Vice Presidential nominee, will deliver a speech in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, August 15, 2024.
The speech will address the significant recruiting challenges currently facing the U.S. military, which Vance attributes to the policies of the Harris-Biden administration.
Vance argues that over the past three and a half years, Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden have prioritized promoting a “woke agenda” within the military rather than focusing on battlefield success, leaving servicemembers and veterans feeling neglected.

In contrast, Vance emphasized that a Trump-Vance administration would honor America’s heroes, including Pennsylvania’s nearly 800,000 veterans, and ensure steadfast support for the men and women in uniform. He highlighted former President Trump’s accomplishments in revolutionizing VA healthcare, signing the Forever G.I. Bill into law, addressing the crisis of veteran suicide, and prioritizing veterans’ needs.
Joining Vance in Pennsylvania will be prominent veterans and supporters of the America First agenda, including Representative Jim Banks (R-IN), Representative Brian Mast (R-FL), and Representative Michael Waltz (R-FL).
