Michael Anthony Woods II was sentenced to 60 months (5 years) in federal prison on August 2nd for possessing cocaine with intent to distribute.
The sentencing followed a May 2023 incident where Brewton Police officers, while attempting to arrest Woods for violating a protection order, discovered a large quantity of cocaine and crack cocaine in his vehicle.

The drugs, totaling approximately 608 grams, were found during a search of a Dodge Charger parked in Woods’ driveway. This discovery led to an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Brewton Police Department, with the case prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney George F. May.
Judge Kristi K. DuBose of the United States District Court presided over the case and handed down the sentence.
