The Georgia Department of Economic Development has activated a travel alert webpage in response to Tropical Storm Debby. This resource aims to assist travelers and evacuees in finding available hotel and lodging options, locating the state’s nine Visitor Information Centers, and accessing emergency resources.

The webpage, accessible at exploregeorgia.org/debby, provides up-to-date information on center operating hours and any changes due to the storm.

Additionally, a downloadable map showcases the locations of these centers, major cities, interstates, highways, and airports across the state.

Georgia’s Visitor Information Centers are equipped to offer assistance with accommodation and travel information. They also provide clean restrooms, parking, and pet-friendly outdoor spaces.

While most centers operate from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM daily, the Valdosta, St. Marys, and Port Wentworth (Savannah) centers, situated on or near evacuation routes, offer 24/7 access to facilities, including restrooms.
