PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – Pasco County has issued a voluntary evacuation order for specific areas as Tropical Depression Four, expected to strengthen into a tropical storm, heads towards the Gulf Coast. Life-threatening storm surge and tropical storm-force winds are forecast to impact the county this weekend.
Residents in Evacuation Zone A, mobile home residents, those in low-lying or flood-prone areas, those with historically flood-prone structures, registered Special Needs residents, and those vulnerable to power outages are urged to evacuate.

If possible, residents are encouraged to stay with family or friends outside the evacuation zones. Otherwise, Pasco County is opening the Fasano Regional Hurricane Center shelter (11611 Denton Avenue, Hudson) at 6 p.m. today for both Special Needs and General Population evacuees.
