New Port Richey Motorcyclist Killed In Fiery SR-54 Crash In Pasco County

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. – A 32-year-old New Port Richey man was killed in a motorcycle accident at the intersection of SR-54 and the SR-589 exit ramp early Saturday morning.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on SR-54 when he collided with a Ford Expedition that was turning left onto SR-54 from the SR-589 exit ramp. The Ford Expedition, driven by a 46-year-old Tampa man, had a green light.

The impact of the crash caused the motorcycle to catch fire, and the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

The driver of the Ford Expedition was not injured.

The crash is currently under investigation, and authorities have not yet released the names of those involved.
