ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The St. Petersburg Police Department is investigating the discovery of human remains within a previously burned home at 1720 Prescott St. S.
The remains were found during a follow-up investigation of the house fire, the cause of which is still under investigation. The Pinellas-Pasco County Medical Examiner’s Office is working in collaboration with the police to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death.

Authorities have not released any further details at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
