A video from Sunday shows the heart-wrenching moment the newborn, now known as baby Gabriel, was rescued. First responders can be seen wrapping him in blankets after removing him from a trash bag. Gabriel’s hair appeared wet, his umbilical cord was still fresh, and his skin was pink and pruned, according to ABC13.
Police reported that Cux-Ajtzalam gave birth inside a taco truck. Shortly after, she allegedly disposed of the baby in a dumpster and returned to clean the truck.
Authorities were alerted by a 911 caller who reported hearing what sounded like a baby crying inside the dumpster.
