HERNANDO COUNTY, Fla. – A routine patrol in Brooksville turned into a significant drug bust when a Hernando County Sheriff’s deputy discovered William Keith Lambrix asleep in a running car parked facing the wrong way.
The subsequent investigation revealed Lambrix was in possession of a variety of narcotics, a large sum of cash, and drug paraphernalia, leading to his arrest on multiple charges.
On July 29, 2024, Hernando County Sheriff’s Deputy B. Frayer discovered William Keith Lambrix asleep at the wheel of a running car parked facing the wrong way on Glenwood Street.

Another deputy noticed a large knife on Lambrix’s hip as he woke him. Lambrix exhibited nervous behavior and fled on foot after exiting the vehicle but was quickly apprehended. A search revealed he was carrying bags containing marijuana, fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine, along with a large sum of cash.
Drug paraphernalia and additional narcotics were found inside Lambrix’s vehicle. He was charged with multiple offenses, including drug trafficking, possession with intent to sell, and resisting arrest. Due to prior charges, several of the new charges carried no bond.

Lambrix, who was wearing an ankle monitor at the time of his arrest, is currently in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
