Israel has confirmed launching a strike in Beirut aimed at a Hezbollah commander, whom it holds responsible for a deadly attack in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced the strike on social media, stating, “Hezbollah crossed the red line,” just minutes after the Israeli military claimed responsibility for the action on Tuesday.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that it “carried out a targeted strike in Beirut, on the commander responsible for the murder of the children in Majdal Shams and the killing of numerous additional Israeli civilians.”
