PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla.- Detectives from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, along with the St. Petersburg Police Department and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, have successfully apprehended 23 suspects involved in drug trafficking and dog fighting operations.

The arrests were the culmination of two separate investigations launched in August 2023: “Operation Snow Cap,” focusing on a drug trafficking organization in Pinellas County and the Tampa Bay area, and “Operation Pedigree,” targeting a dog-fighting ring operating across multiple counties.

During the press conference, Sheriff Gualtieri said, “To the people that are out there that are engaged in this, look over your shoulder – because we’ve got many investigations just like this that are in the pipeline.”
