POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A serious head-on collision has forced the closure of both northbound and southbound lanes of State Road 37 in southwest Polk County, south of Mulberry. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is currently on the scene of the crash, which occurred around 7:36 a.m. on Friday, July 19.
The accident occurred north of County Road 630 and south of Bradley Junction. Details regarding the number of vehicles involved and the extent of injuries are still emerging.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes as the road closure is expected to cause significant traffic delays. Authorities are urging drivers to exercise caution in the area and to be patient as emergency responders work to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the crash.
