Former President Donald Trump was rushed off stage in Butler, Pennsylvania after gunfire or a popping noise broke out during the rally.
The Secret Service covered Trump on stage. However, as they got him on his feet, Trump had visible blood above his right ear as he was being rushed into the motorcade.
Update: 7:00 p.m.: A Trump spokesperson said the former President is fine, “President Trump thanks law enforcement and first responders for their quick action during this heinous act. He is fine and is being checked out at a local medical facility. More details will follow.” — Steven Cheung, Trump spokesperson
The Secret Service said in a statement. “The former President is safe.”
