POLK COUNTY, Fla. – A Port St. Lucie man, Kenneth Albert Fike, 41, was arrested after leading troopers on a high-speed chase exceeding 110 mph on US-92 and surrounding roads around 2:13 am on Saturday.
Troopers initially attempted to stop Fike for speeding on his Ducati motorcycle, but he evaded them, discarding a backpack containing his wallet, a handgun, drugs, and paraphernalia along the way.
Fike eventually surrendered at a gas station parking lot. The recovered backpack revealed a 9mm handgun, cannabis, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and Fike’s identification.

He was booked into Polk County Jail on multiple charges, including fleeing and eluding, driving with a suspended license, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a felon, and various drug-related offenses.
