TAMPA, Fla. – Residents of Tampa Bay should be prepared for scattered thunderstorms throughout the weekend, according to the latest forecast by the National Weather Service (NWS).

High temperatures are expected to hover around 92°F (33°C) with lows around 77°F (25°C). While the rain may provide some relief from the heat, it could also disrupt outdoor activities and potentially cause localized flooding.

The NWS advises residents to stay aware of weather conditions and seek shelter if they hear thunder. They should also avoid driving through flooded roads and secure loose outdoor objects that could be blown away by strong winds.

Despite the potential for rain, there will still be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the weekend. Many indoor attractions, such as museums, theaters, and shopping centers, will be open and unaffected by the weather.

The forecast for the following week shows a continuation of the scattered thunderstorms pattern, with temperatures remaining consistent.
