A wedding celebration in St. Louis turned into a nightmare after the groom was shot in the head by a masked gunman early Saturday morning.

The victim, identified as 32-year-old Manuel Gonzalez, remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Police report that two masked individuals entered the backyard of the bride’s home, where a small wedding reception was underway, shortly after the ceremony concluded on Friday evening.

Witnesses reported the gunmen ordered everyone to stay still while robbing guests of their valuables. One gunman then allegedly shot Mr. Gonzalez in the head before both assailants fled the scene.
