In addition to rescuing nearly 800,000 drivers with car trouble this Independence Day, AAA is offering a free service to keep impaired drivers off the road.
“By providing this program, AAA gives drivers no excuse for driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol or impairing medications,” said Mark Jenkins, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Please plan ahead by asking a friend to be your designated driver or use a ride sharing service. If those plans fall through, you can call Tow to Go and AAA will arrange for a safe ride for you.”

The Program:
- Tow to Go: This program provides a safe ride home for both AAA members and non-members who are unable to drive due to impairment by alcohol, drugs, or medication.
- Service Dates: Available from 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 3rd to 6 a.m. Monday, July 8th.
- How it Works: Call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246. A tow truck will transport you and your vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius.
Why Choose Tow to Go?
- Free and Confidential: There’s no cost to use the service, and your call is confidential.
- Safety Net: This program is designed as a last resort for those who didn’t plan ahead for a designated driver.

- Alternatives: If Tow to Go isn’t available, consider ride-sharing services.
- Limitations: Service may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather.
