The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is thrilled to announce the return of its popular TrophyCatch pink tag contest!
Trophy-sized bass sporting bright pink tags have been released in five prime fishing locations across Florida, and the first angler to catch a tagged bass in each location will win thousands of dollars in prizes.

Angler Harry Linsinbigler IV has already snagged a prize-winning 11-pound, 4-ounce bass from Lake Rochelle, part of the Northwest Winter Haven Chain of Lakes. His catch earned him $1,000 in AFTCO Fishing Apparel & Tackle, plus a $1,000 check from TrophyCatch sponsor 888-BOAT-LAW.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! There are still multiple tagged bass waiting to be discovered in these five locations:
- Lake Lochloosa
- Lake Beauclair
- Lake Okeechobee
- Porter Lake
- Northwest Winter Haven Chain of Lakes (including Lake Jessie, Lake Idylwild, Lake Hartridge, Lake Conine, Lake Haines, Lake Smart, and Lake Fannie)
With the contest running until September 30th, you still have a chance to hook a pink-tagged trophy bass and claim your prize! To participate, simply cut and keep the tag from your catch, then follow the submission instructions on the TrophyCatch website.

Even if you don’t catch a tagged bass, you can still win! Anglers who fish in these special waters can be entered into a drawing to win a pair of Bajío Sunglasses as a “Pink-Tag Chaser.”
