Residents Displaced After Fire Rips Through Their Winter Haven Home Overnight

WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – A Winter Haven family lost their home to a fire overnight, but thankfully, no one was injured.

On Friday at approximately 1:50 a.m., Winter Haven Fire units responded to a structure fire at 232 Ave B NE in Winter Haven.

Once on the scene, firefighters found the residence engulfed in flames. Everyone was reported out of the home, and no injuries were reported to firefighters or residents.

As firefighters began to battle the blaze, a nearby tree also caught fire, which was extinguished. Out of an abundance of caution, neighboring residents were evacuated.

At approximately 3:45 a.m., the fire was extinguished, and investigators were able to enter. At this time, the cause of the fire is undetermined and under investigation.

The Red Cross was called and are assisting the residents.
